Independent Prescribing development and clinical accreditation
Pharmacists undertaking their university Independent Prescribing qualification can complete a structured ACP Solutions pathway of education, supervised clinical experience and competency review. Successful completion leads to ACP Solutions accreditation in their chosen area of clinical practice, providing documented evidence of capability alongside their university qualification.
Independent Prescribing qualification
Awarded by the student’s university. ACP Solutions supports the learning; we do not award the qualification.
Area-of-practice accreditation
Awarded by ACP Solutions after successful completion and competency review — never for attendance alone.
Already-qualified independent prescribers can use the same structured approach to develop and evidence competence in a new or existing clinical area.
